Employees are not subcontractors, and they need different records. SUITE keeps both, and asks for the right fields depending on where the person actually works.
WHAT YOU GET
EMPLOYEE OR SUBCONTRACTOR
An employee record and a subcontractor record hold different things, because the obligations are different.
A US location asks for I-9 and W-4; a Mexico location asks for a signed contract and IMSS registration.
The Mexican entitlement figures are shown as estimates to check with your accountant. SUITE does not file payroll for you.
This exists because a real business employs people in the United States and in Mexico, under two different sets of rules.
A policy is not just uploaded — you can see who has accepted it and when.
An employee record is HR. What that person can open in SUITE is set by their permission profile.
COMMON QUESTIONS
No. SUITE keeps employee records, documents, onboarding and policy acknowledgements. It does not run payroll or file anything on your behalf, and the Mexican entitlement figures it shows are reference estimates to confirm with your accountant.
They carry different records because they carry different obligations. Subcontractors have their own module with W-9 status, payables and 1099 totals.
Yes. A Mexico location collects CURP, RFC, NSS, contract type, structured address and IMSS registration, and generates an onboarding checklist for that country instead of a US one.
